BESS Beginnings

In this Weekly Dispatch:

1.      AEMO released the Q3 Energy Dynamics Report stating that a cold start to spring led to more energy demand and that there is 45.6 GW of new capacity progressing through the connection process.

2. Construction commences on stage two of Origin’s Eraring BESS.

3.      The first stage of Neoen’s Collie BESS has commenced operations ahead of schedule.

4. Powerlink released its Transmission Annual Planning Report (TAPR) while AEMO released the Victorian Annual Planning Report.

5.      ARENA supports Australia’s first concentrated solar thermal deployment, with $17.2 million in funding for Mars Petcare to develop the renewable energy plant at its pet food manufacturing facility.

Climate Crunch
